Win tickets to Winterville

The seasonal pop-up is back with an array of entertainment from festive family activities to club nights

SANTA Claus is coming to town. Better still, he’s brought a 600-square-meter ice rink, a 35-metre big wheel, pantomimes, comedy, live music, an entire circus and a street food market ... and Destination Hackney has tickets to give away.

Winterville – Victoria Park's Christmas playground for all ages, runs until 23 December. Favourites from last year have popped up again, like the indoor Kids’ Shack, Santa’s Grotto, the vaudeville Victorian-themed Bizarre Bazaar and the ‘magic mirror’ Spiegeltent hosting the best of East London’s alternative entertainment.

The food hall is back, of course, and packed with top traders like Crabbie Shack, Smokestak and Mother Clucker, while the Bar Humbug bar revives its unique blend of apres-ski chic and East-End knees-up.

Making its first appearance, however, is ‘The Winter Night Garden’, a magic indoor woodland cinema screening all the Christmas movies you could ever want and even, whisper it, some untainted by festive theme.

You can wander round this winter wonderland for free, but you’ll need tickets for the circus, cinema, crazy golf, ice rink and spiegeltent. Booking is recommended, but the Winterville team is offering Destination Hackney readers the chance to win one of five pairs of tickets to either the ice rink or circus. So get your skates on.

For a chance to win a pair of tickets, to either the circus or the ice rink, share this story on your Facebook or Twitter.
