Christmas is coming, so get into the festive spirit with seasonal events for every type of weekend-er in Hackney

Ludachristmas

£5/8/10. 9pm-3am, Friday, 9 December

A Christmas party celebrating the work of hip-hop giant Ludacris, don’t miss an exclusive 30-minute DJ set showcasing his greatest hits, plus the usual hip-hop, trap, old school garage and R&B selections. There is also an exclusive performance by Big Tobz, and to spice things up, there's a £100 prize for the best Christmas jumper/outfit. Plus surprise guests, all at Hoxton Pony, Shoreditch.

Get into the Christmas spirit (if you haven’t already) at Hackney Showroom for a wintry wonderland cinema experience featuring favourite festive classics (pictured above). This weekend it's ‘Elf’, ‘Home Alone 1 & 2’, ‘Love Actually’ and ‘The Grinch’.


Sleeping Beauty

This traditional fairytale is brought bang-up-to-date in a magical and hilarious Christmas panto. Located in enchanted Hackneytonia, Princes Tahlia’s (Sleeping Beauty) life is changed forever after an evil spell is cast on her.


F*Cking Little Elf B*Tch

£9/10/15. 8.15-9.15pm, Friday, 9 – Sunday, 11 December

Join disgruntled Ivy in this outrageously funny and anarchic Christmas show. Inspired by years of working in a festive grotto, this is the story of the elf who finally cracked. As part of Rosemary Branch Theatre's adults-only Christmas season.


Winter Fair

Free entry. 11am-3pm, Saturday, 10 December

Christmas is coming and all the seasonal attractions are in one place, King Henry’s Walk Garden offers craft stalls, children’s games, a tombola, mince pies, mulled wine, and Santa will be handing out gifts to children at his woodland grotto.


Christmas Shopping in Hackney

Various times, Saturday, 10 & Sunday, 11 December

Get started Christmas shopping and grab those must-haves at Growing Communities’ Farmers’ Market, Broadway Market, Chatsworth Road Market, and Stoke Newington Town Hall Market to name but a few. Look out for Santa who will be making an appearance at Ridley Road Market this weekend.
