House & Techno Party

Free/£10. 3pm-7am Friday, 4 November

It’s two for one at this all day party at the Magic Roundabout in an outdoor setting, complete with heating, rain cover, tasty cocktails and award-winning street food until 11pm in Shoreditch. Followed by a pool party at a nearby secret location (tbc via social media) until the early hours, adding to 16 hours of house and techno music.


Jonny Woo’s Un-Royal Variety

£10-35. 7.30pm, Friday, 4 November

Alt drag superstar, Jonny Woo glides into the Hackney Empire for a spectacular show featuring the cream of London’s alternative cabaret scene. The one-night variety show includes a 10-minute ‘Brexit – The Musical’ sketch and big number performances from dance troupe Maude Adams & All Those Children.


London Sketchfest Comedy Festival

£13-55. 4-11pm, Saturday, 5 November

The biggest alternative comedy festival returns for its fourth year with a spotlight on new and emerging comedians. Watch the best comedy from sketch to character acts, and (new for 2016) clowning in front of industry judging panels at Hackney House. Featuring a programme of feature shows, and a writing and short film competition.


Tim Westwood – New London Residency Launch

£7/10 otd. 9pm-2am, Saturday, 5 November

DJ Tim Westwood teams up with London’s biggest hip-hop promoters, The Doctor’s Orders, to bring an exciting new residency every other month to Shoreditch. Having had an influence in the industry for the last 30 years, expect an unforgettable launch, at Hoxton Square Bar & kitchen, blasting the sounds of hip-hop, soul, RnB and more.


Blindfold Run

£30 (£15 each). 11am, Sunday, 6 November

Walk or run through the beautiful parklands at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park completely blindfolded to raise money for the Royal London Society for Blind People (RSLB) charity. This event will guarantee some laughs along the way as you rely on your partner to guide you around the 5k or 10k routes. Registration essential.


Disco Loco Extraordinary Laser 10th Birthday Party

Babes free/£3 for adults/kids. 3pm, Sunday, 6 November

Celebrate 10 years of family-friendly raving with colourful lasers, art workshops, games and reggae from the Trojan Sound System's very own Earl Gateshead with yummy Jamaican patties at Hackney Showroom.
