Preview: London Remixed Festival at Rich Mix

Live music festival take over Shoreditch venue for two days

ONE of the biggest musical events of the winter is set to hit Shoreditch venue Rich Mix on 5 and 6 February and we have a pair of tickets to give away.

The London Remixed Festival showcases the best in Afrobeats, ghetto funk, drum and bass, reggae, electro-blues, anarchic hoedown, Latin breaks, Gypsy beats, and a silent disco just to name a few.

Across four stages, over two days, the line up includes 25 cutting edge bands and DJs such as: Chris Tofu; hip hop brass band Daytoner; Balkan beats-inspired Gypsy Butter; the Temple Funk Collective and folk-hop band Honeyfeet.

A free remix workshop is set to take place on the morning of 5 February, where guests can enjoy two 90-minute beginner sessions on the basics of re-mixing music. This will be followed by two 90-minute advanced sessions in the afternoon.

There will also be a speed dating session from 5.30-7pm on 5 February, where bands, DJs and producers who are keen on making new collaborations can swap ideas with established musicians.

If it’s just the music you want, then head to Rich Mix after 7pm on both days for a night of fun – without the rain, mud or camping.

For a chance of winning a pair of tickets to the London Remixed Festival just share this story on Facebook or Twitter.
