Free family events in Dalston Square this summer

Dalston hosts a programme of activities to encourage families to have fun in the sun

DALSTON Square is hosting a line-up of free events from July to August, with the return of Hackney Council’s summer programme of activities.

Giant board games, acrobats, comedians and story-tellers all feature on the bill and are set to entertain adults and children alike.

Highlights include Universal Board Games, which is due to bring a selection of rare and popular games to the square on 30 July; and children’s comedy from Arcola Theatre, which will have residents in stitches, on 23 July, 6 August and 20 August.

While on 13 August, families can celebrate the fabled story-telling spider, Anansi, with performances by Gahu Dramatic Arts and Yaram Arts set to add to the drama on the day.

So get to Dalston Square this summer, have some fun and enjoy what’s on offer.
